A website for the AI age
2026 Mar 10
Most websites are made for humans. I added one constraint when rebuilding this portfolio: it should work as well for AI agents as it does for people.
A website that only works for humans is increasingly invisible to how people and their agents actually explore the web.
Making it readable: all meaningful content exists as plain text, structured so a language model can read it as fluently as a person skimming it.
Making it usable: an MCP server exposes the portfolio as queryable tools — case studies with full process descriptions, writing with the actual arguments, bio, contact. Any agent that can use tools can query this portfolio directly at https://danielkalman.design/api/mcp.
Adding the LLM guide: a chat interface backed by Claude with the full portfolio as a briefing document. Understands who's visiting and what they're after, then recommends the most relevant work. Conversations traced through Langfuse.
Three ways to consume it: read it yourself, point your AI agent at the MCP server, or just ask.
The portfolio doesn't care how you show up.
